Goin' to Oshkosh

Knowing that I wouldn't get the Flitplane flying in time for OSH, I started playing with details.

The folks at Wings of Freedom called and said they'd like to have a bare-bones Flitplane at OSH. So I wanted to do a good job.

I went nuts on the instrument panel, and the "floor."

I made a mistake.

The first person to identify the problem with this instrument panel will win it! I'll send you a perfectly good panel, if you tell me why it won't work in the Flitplane.

Aileron Cover

Here's another contest...

Take a look at the picture of the covered ailerons. Why did the leading-edge tubes bow forward? The Flit-folks had the same thing happen.

Answer that question, or suggest a solution that works, and you'll be inducted into the Flitplane hall of fame. And be forever in our debt.

I'm thinkin' maybe glue the fabric to the ribs??

Flit-Tip #5: Expect the unexpected. Not all the kitplane parts will fit.
